The kid's book club is back! This program is a 4-week series that combines reading, critical thinking, and hands-on activities to enrich the experience.

WARNING: REGISTRATION IS NOT OPEN UNTIL: SATURDAY, MARCH 15TH 2025 - 09:00AM

Our story is about Red an oak tree who is many rings old. Red is the neighborhood "wishtree"—people write their wishes on pieces of cloth and tie them to Red's branches. Along with her crow friend Bongo and other animals who seek refuge in Red's hollows, this "wishtree" watches over the neighborhood.

Each child will receive a copy of the book at the first book club and we will read & explore together. Please keep in mind this is a 4 week series and attendance is important. Kids will be assigned to read chapters each week at home. Through this book club, we aim to enhance comprehension, encourage critical thinking, inspire creativity, and foster personal growth.

If you are unable to attend the event, please call 847-531-7271 to cancel as soon as possible. This allows a student on the waitlist to join the event.  We will be taking attendance at the programs, and staff members reserve the right to move a registrant to the waitlist if they are found to be consistently absent from programs.
