Did you become a new U.S citizen? Join Mayor Kaptain and members of Elgin's City Council to congratulate new citizen honorees. There will be entertainment and refreshments after the ceremony.

This ceremony is coordinated by Elgin's New Citizen Recognition Committee-a group of community volunteers including representatives from Centro de información, City of Elgin, Chinese Mutual Aid Association, Elgin Community College, Elgin History Museum, Gail Borden Public Library, Literacy connection and YWCA Elgin.
