Kids Explore: Crazy Cool Cephalopods

Grades K-5, Registration Required

Did you know that octopuses, squids, nautiluses and cuttlefish are all cephalopods? Join Ms. Carrie to dive into some fun facts about these animals & make a dumbo octopus craft. Registration required.

Registration for this program begins December 15, 2025. Please register each child SEPARATELY.

Please note that this program will be held in the Youth Story Room- not Sally Lee Fox.  

Did you know that octopuses have ARMS and not tentacles? Have you heard of the Flamboyant cuttlefish, who can use up to 75 color combinations to talk to their fellow ocean dwellers? Dive into the ocean with Ms. Carrie to learn about these crazy cephalopods and make a dumbo octopus craft!

If you register but later are unable to attend the event, please call 847-429-4685 to cancel as soon as possible. This allows a student on the wait list to join the event with adequate notice. We will be taking attendance at the programs, and staff members reserve the right to move a registrant to the wait list if they are found to be consistently absent from programs.
