The length of each walk will be determined by location, weather, and participant comfort level.

Calling all Nature Rangers! Join us for a walk to enjoy the fresh air at a Kane County Forest Preserve on the third Friday of each month, May through October. These walks are open to all ages. The length of each walk will be determined by location, weather, and participant comfort level. Please register. 

 

Dress for the weather.

May 15: *John J. Duerr Forest Preserve - 35W003 Route 31 in South Elgin - *Due to Staff Training Day, this walk will be self-led.

June 19: Burnidge Forest Preserve - 14N035 Coombs Rd. in Elgin (west entrance)

July 17: Bowe’s Creek Woods Forest Preserve - 9N420 Crawford Rd. in Elgin

August 21: Dick Young Forest Preserve - 39W115 Main St, in Batavia (Main/north entrance)

September 18: Burlington Prairie Forest Preserve - 13N240 Engel Rd. in Sycamore

October 16: Johnson’s Mound Forest Preserve - 41W600 Hughes Rd. in Elburn
