Podcast Camp (Grades 6-12)
Tuesday, July 28
12:00pm - 2:00pm
Main Library
Studio 270 Digital Media LabExplore the basics of video creation in this hands‑on beginner camp designed for students in grades 6–12.
Discover the art of podcasting in this beginner‑friendly camp for students in grades 6–12. Throughout the week, participants will learn how to use camcorders, microphones, and basic audio/video editing software to produce their own podcast episodes. Campers will practice writing podcast outlines, record engaging content, and editing both audio and video. By the end of the week, students will upload their finished episodes to YouTube and Biblioboard, the library’s online streaming platform. No prior experience needed—just curiosity, creativity, and a story to tell!
Space is limited, so registration is required. Participants are expected to attend all five sessions in order to get the most out of the experience. Students in grades 6–8 who attend all three camps will gain Digital Media Lab (DML) access privileges, which include a limited‑use library card if they do not already have one, limited DML access for one school year (normally available only to high school teens), a one‑year access button pin valid from Summer 2026 through Spring 2027, and the ability to bring one guest to each session.
