Paper quilling is the art of taking thin strips of paper and rolling it into coils to make a piece of art. Learn about quilling while you make a quilled turkey of your own!
This program has supplies to be picked up at the KidSpace Youth Reference Desk at the Main Library (270 N. Grove Avenue, Elgin). Program supplies will be ready for between Monday, October 26th- Sunday, November 1st. All registered participants will receive an email with the zoom login prior to the program date.
If you would like to pick up the supplies at the Main Library Drive-Up Window instead of inside the library at the youth desk, please call the youth desk at 847-429-4685 before you arrive at the library.
Program Supplies in the bag:
1 printed white cardstock page "I am thankful!"
12 strips 1/2” x 12” in each of the following colors: yellow, orange, red construction paper
15 strips 1/2" x 12" brown construction paper
2 thin paintbrushes (for liquid glue and wrapping the strips)
Small paper plate for glue
Turkey body page printed on white cardstock (1/2 sheet)
**NOTE: Paper strips are bundled together into a "loop" to keep them from bending.
Program Supplies to gather from home:
Crayons or markers
Liquid glue (Elmer's or similar)
Pencil
Scissors
*Please color and cut out your turkey body before the program. You may wish to have a napkin on hand for gluey fingers.

If you are unable to attend the event, please cancel your registration so a student on the waitlist can join the event. We will be taking attendance at the programs and staff members reserve the right to move a registrant to the waitlist if they are found to be consistently absent from the zoom event part of the program.
