Book Party: The One and Only Ivan

Pickup Kit at Main Library from Sept 14 - Sept 20

We’re having a book party- and you’re invited! Join us to celebrate the The One and Only Ivan movie as we read/discuss a section of the book, learn to draw Ivan, and create a Ruby craft.

This program has supplies to be picked up at the KidSpace Youth Reference Desk at the Main Library (270 N. Grove Ave, Elgin). Program supplies will be ready for pickup at the Main Library from Sept 14 - Sept 20. All registered participants will receive an email with the zoom login and instructions on picking up materials for the program.

If you would like to pick up the supplies at the Main Library Drive-up Window instead of inside the library at the youth desk, please call the youth desk at 847-429-4685 before you arrive at the library 

Program Supplies in the bag:

1 copy of “Let’s Draw Ivan” sheet 
1 copy of “Elephant Head” sheet 
1 copy of “Elephant Trunk” sheet
2 large googly eyes 
1 straw (bendable OK) 
1 small piece of white paper (2” x 3”) 

Program Supplies to gather from home:

• Pencil
• Scissors
• Crayons, markers or colored pencils
• Glue stick
• Tape

NOTE:  Please color and cut out the 8x8 paper square and the strip of paper labeled for use to create Ruby before the program.  Please color ONE SIDE of the 8x8 square and BOTH SIDES of the trunk strip.
