PLEASE NOTE: REGISTRATION IS NOT OPEN UNTIL: FRIDAY, AUGUST 15TH 2025 - 09:00AM
If you like Holes by Louis Sachar or The Wild Robot by Peter Brown, you’re going to love The Lion of Mars by Jennifer L. Holm! This novel isn’t just a sci-fi adventure—it’s a story about friendship, trust, and what it means to belong. The author's unique take on life in space offers a fresh way to discuss teamwork, resilience, and human connection.
Each child will receive a copy of the book at the first book club and we will read & explore together. Please keep in mind this is a 4 week series and attendance is important. Kids will be assigned to read chapters each week at home. Through this book club, we aim to enhance comprehension, encourage critical thinking, inspire creativity, and foster personal growth.
If you are unable to attend the event, please call 847-531-7271 or cancel your registration on the website. This allows a student on the waitlist to join the event. We will be taking attendance at the programs, and staff members reserve the right to move a registrant to the waitlist if they are found to be consistently absent from programs.
