Studio 270 Digital Media LabExplore the basics of video creation in this hands‑on beginner camp designed for students in grades 6–12.
Jump into the world of filmmaking in this beginner‑friendly video camp designed for students in grades 6–12. Over five days, participants will learn how to operate camcorders, capture high‑quality footage, and edit their projects using iMovie and Final Cut Pro. Campers will explore shot composition, basic storytelling, and simple editing techniques while creating short video projects throughout the week. No experience required—just imagination and a willingness to create!
Space is limited, so registration is required. Participants are expected to attend all five sessions in order to get the most out of the experience. Students in grades 6–8 who attend all three camps will gain Digital Media Lab (DML) access privileges, which include a limited‑use library card if they do not already have one, limited DML access for one school year (normally available only to high school teens), a one‑year access button pin valid from Summer 2026 through Spring 2027, and the ability to bring one guest to each session.
