Did you know that a gingerbread baker played a role in the American Revolution? Join Ms. Carrie to learn about Christopher Ludwick & make a paper-bag gingerbread house. Registration required.

Please register each child SEPARATELY.

Christopher Ludwick was a German-born American who left his bakery in Philadelphia to help George Washington and his troops win the American Revolution. You'll learn his story when we read the book Gingerbread for Liberty and Christopher trades baking for a boat ride across enemy lines. We'll also make a paper-bag gingerbread house that can decorate your house for the holiday season. Please note: we will NOT be using actual gingerbread or any food items in this program. Registration required.

For a list of possible books that we may use in this program, click here.

If you register but later are unable to attend the event, please call 847-429-4685 to cancel as soon as possible. This allows a student on the wait list to join the event with adequate notice. We will be taking attendance at the programs, and staff members reserve the right to move a registrant to the wait list if they are found to be consistently absent from programs.
