Rakow Branch

Practice your reading skills by cuddling up with a good book and reading aloud to a fully trained and certified therapy dog. Registration required. NOW for all ages!.

PLEASE NOTE: REGISTRATION IS NOT OPEN UNTIL Sunday, November 15, 09:00 AM

Join us in the Rakow Children's area to read to a certified therapy dog at our beautiful Rakow Branch!

If you can't attend, please cancel your registration so someone on the waitlist can join. We will take attendance at the programs. Staff may move a registrant to the waitlist if they are consistently absent from registered programs.

To ensure a safe and positive experience for everyone, all participants are expected to treat the therapy dog, handler, fellow participants, and library staff with kindness and respect. Any behavior that is disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful toward the therapy dog or handler will not be tolerated.   The therapy dog handler and library staff reserve the right to end a reading session or ask a participant to leave the program if their behavior is deemed inappropriate, unsafe, or disrespectful toward the dog, handler, or others. Thank you for helping us provide a welcoming and safe environment for everyone.
