Riding and Rolling in Elgin: An Overview of Devices, Safety, and Laws.
E-bikes, e-scooters, e-motos, and other micromobility devices are becoming increasingly popular. Whether you’re a parent or caregiver considering a device for a child or teen, an older adult using or considering an e-bike to stay active and mobile, or a rider yourself, it’s important to understand the differences between devices and the rules that apply.
A new Illinois law takes effect on January 1, 2027, with a focus on emerging mobility options and public safety. During this presentation and discussion, you'll learn the differences between devices, who is allowed to use them, where they can be used – plus important safety tips for riders and others.
Please register.
