Founded beside a great lake and sluggish river, Chicago grew quickly. Skyscrapers sprang up, stockyards fed the world, and railroads turned the city into the nation’s transportation hub. Libraries thrived. Museums attracted millions. Department stores created modern retailing. The city excelled through music and architecture. 

Join author and tour guide Greg Borzo as he shares years of experience researching and writing about Chicago.

Greg Borzo is an award-winning journalist who has worked at the American Medical Association, Field Museum and University of Chicago. He has written 8 books, including the Lost Restaurants of Chicago, The Chicago “L”, and Chicago's Fabulous Fountains. He lives in the South Loop to better enjoy all the history and culture, art and architecture that the city has to offer.
